Lt. Gen. Craparotta brings more than 38 years of leadership and operational experience to the Barrow Wise Consulting team, with a proven track record of leading large and complex organizations, building successful teams, and developing the next generation of leaders and innovators. During his last five years of active-duty service, Craparotta commanded the Marine Expeditionary Force, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific, and Training and Education Command as a three-star General.
With a strong background in strategic planning and executive-level leadership, Craparotta has built and mentored diverse teams and overseen successful organizational transformation efforts.

Dr. Johnson brings over 13 years of experience building AI systems across various domains to the Barrow Wise Consulting team. These systems include autonomous vehicles, AI hardware, NLP, computer vision, and intelligent tutoring systems. Most recently, he was a Computing Innovation Fellow at the USC Information Sciences Institute, where his work focuses on building AI systems to understand and teach collaboration across engineering teams. He has worked at the world’s leading research institutions, including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Intel Labs, and The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan. He is a Fulbright Scholar and received a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship, the USC Center for Engineering Diversity Leadership and Service Award, and the USC Order of Arete award.
Dr. Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, where Jonathan Gratch advised him.
